8 Brocades
This will be a very gently-paced day with lots of benefits. Eight Brocades, our first set of the day is one of the most studied and revered qigong sets. Originally an essential practise to strenghten Shaolin monks, our practise will be accessible for all, and excellent for strenghtening and coordination. It works with all areas and organs of the body to boost health. Here’s one of the many pieces of research on the positive effects of the 8 brocades.
Tai Chi Walking
Tai chi walking or qigong walking has recieved lots of attention in the news recently, thanks to it’s excellent ability to improve balance and create more calm and mindfulness in the body and mind. Check out this recent article about Tai Chi Walking in Glamour magazine.
Qigong for tension release
Come and do some of my absolute favourite exercises for deeper relaxation or the body, mind and nervous system.
Qigong for the heart
As we move into the summer season in TCM, we will do our final session of the day with a focus on balancing the heart qi, this calms the spirit and can uplift our mind and body – as well as improve heart health and blood pressure.
