Get your summer body

What does summer body mean to you? In qigong, it’s about a body that has a balanced heart, that moves in flow, with big expansive and almost dance like movements (channel your inner Kate Bush or favourite performer – see my video below!). You can work on your summer body by doing movements that will open the muscles and pathways into the heart – these often involve big circular mindful movements with the arms and wrists. Don’t forget to finish with a lovely hand massage to really get the energy flowing into your heart and give yourself a better chance of feeling into your joy and calm. Importantly, balanced heart qi, means a balanced mind, ie, better mental health. Connecting with the joy in your heart through these movements will likely help calm anxiety.
